Colleen

Colleen Gerbic

PTA

Colleen graduated from South University in the fall of 2015, and joined the Berea facility staff  in early 2016.  Prior to becoming a therapist, she worked as a therapy aide for a community hospital, an experience that she feels helped to encourage her to remain on the physical therapy track.  Colleen is proud to serve as a PTA, and believes that she learns something valuable from every patient she treats. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Health Science from Cleveland State University.  She feels that becoming part of the Synergy family has afforded her the ability to provide patients with exceptional care due to the emphasis on one-on-one care, and has increased her knowledge in alternative medicine due to the clinic’s holistic approach.   In her free time, she enjoys yoga, reading, playing piano, and spending time with her husband and daughter, Marcus and Jocelyn, and lively little mix breed, Lucas, who is the therapy dog at Synergy!  She also enjoys giving time to Berea Animal Rescue Friends, assisting with fundraising events.

Lucas

Lucas

Therapy Dog

Lucas is Colleen’s lively beagle mix, that  joined the Synergy family as the in-clinic therapy dog in Berea.  Lucas is a rescue, and has come out of his shell significantly since he was adopted in 2017.  He loves his job and can’t wait to make the patients smile everyday.  When he isn’t sharing affection and getting ear scratches at work, he loves going for walks, playing with his toys, and chasing bunnies in the back yard.
